Every girl has dreamt of marrying her high school sweetheart. Fond memories of holding hands and passing notes are mixed with the anticipation you felt waiting for class to end, knowing that you would meet in the halls for a brief kiss. For Ami, this dream came true when she married Adam. The two lovers hit it off in high school, and they started to build a life together soon after. Ami and Adam had two children before deciding to tie the knot, and that is where I came in. Being a wedding photographer is often a wild and crazy business that takes me to new and exotic locations, but Cyprus has always been my favorite, exactly where this lovely wedding took place. Armed with my camera and faithful Phottix Mitros flash (as always), I set out to make some magical memories for the newlyweds. The ceremony was held at Ayia Napa in the Atlantica Sungarden Beach Hotel. The seats were all decorated with beautiful sheer drapes and rose petals danced in the aisle under the cool ocean breeze. It was nothing short of a dream wedding. Ami and Adam were showered with confetti at the end of it, and then it was off to celebrate on a vintage double-decker bus under the afternoon sun. The dinner afterwards took place in the late evening hours, so I got the chance to really make use of my Phottix Mitros flash. It works perfectly with Odin transmitters to deliver crisp photos, allowing me freedom of positioning my flash wherever I like, even in the dimmest lighting. It's my go-to photography tool that gets me the pictures I want everytime. I would be lost without it! The glow of the lanterns and soft bursts of candlelight created the perfect backdrop to the celebrations. Tears were shed all around as Ami's father gave his speech; I had to hold mine back to get the perfect shot, but I was crying inside along with them. A father's love is too beautiful for words. The tears soon turned to shouts of joy and laughter as the wedding games commenced. Then, it was the bride and groom dance. Ami looked utterly stunning under the lantern light. Adam could hardly take his eyes off of her as they slowly swayed, their families looking on. I, as well as everyone else, had the loveliest evening in beautiful Cyprus. As one of my favorite wedding destinations, Cyprus has much to offer in the way of scenic views and oceanside getaways. I look forward for a next beautiful wedding adventure! I read the story first using the reader view, so I could not see the photos, but everything you wrote was brought to life by these beautiful photos. I especially love the black and white one of the daughter, the one where the wedding vale is floating and the ones on the cliff which are framed perfectly by the pine trees. I can almost smell the fine needles crunching beneath my feet.
