After almost a year of frequent traveling Croatia - Cyprus and some countries in between, I have finally decided to stay for a month in my hometown Zagreb, the capital of Croatia. Even tough my 2015 wedding season is still not finished, I needed to spend a day creatively and amongst gorgeous dresses... Without any luck, my friend Ivana from I.J.Design had been trying to catch me for the past months to make a shoot of her new collection. No wonder that she managed to organize location, model, makeup and hair in just a few days to make sure I don't fly away again. :) She decided that beautiful interior of hotel Westin in Zagreb and its president suite would be a perfect fit for her story. And it was! Elegant sofas, antique mirrors and rustic chandeliers combined with big windows on 17th floor with an amazing natural light - a dream come true for every photographer! The happiness was even bigger when I had an amazing model and a proud owner of The Most Beautiful Woman of Croatia 2013 title in front of my camera. Despite her extremely busy schedule, Nikolina Miletić succeeded to spend the whole day with us and managed to remind me why I love her so much. It was a hard work, but we had a lot of fun! :) I was also extremely happy that I had an opportunity to test some Phottix equipment which you are now able to buy in Croatia starting this month. I was shooting with new Phottix Indra500 TTL Studio Light – a 500 Watt light featuring High Speed Sync. The Phottix Indra is a studio flash head, although its main purpose is not the studio one. It is designed to enable photographers to take studio-quality lighting on location, so it uses an extremely powerful Li-ion Battery Pack. It is small, light, portable and very easy to adjust. The Indra500 is a lot of power and control packed into a compact studio light and I have combined it with Phottix 120cm Hexa-Para Softbox and the famous Phottix Odin transmitter. We had a special privilege that an amazing award winning Iranian-American photojournalist Moe Zoyari paid us a visit during his Europe trip and took few behind the scene photos. Thank you Moe and good luck on your exploration trip! Without you, this blog post would not even exist... :) Feel free to follow his adventures here.
