Throughout the history, marriage has been viewed as a very blessed relationship, a traditional and sanctified bond between two people that include commitment, unconditional trust and irresistible intimacy. Being clinched in traditions, India puts a great significance to one’s marriage, where a whole family (and usually it is a huge one) is deeply involved in sharing the happiness of the couple.
Opulent and heft, they are never a one day affair - wedding celebrations can even take up to a week!

It is extremely challenging to truly describe the atmosphere of an Indian wedding for the ones who never attended it. Before my first journey to Jaipur in India, I have been preparing and learning about what is awaiting me. My friend Amit from The Wedding Connections, and amazing Jaipur Wedding Planner, helped me with some amazing insight, but let me be honest with you, nothing could have prepared me for such upbeat, colorful and roaring celebration.

As I already mentioned, the family is of a huge importance in the lives of Indians. Spending a week with your close family, more distant relatives, friends and even neighbors is wonderfully fulfilling,
but it leaves very few intimate moments between the couple. I wouldn’t be myself as a Wedding Photographer if I didn’t think of my couple and the memories they will cherish in years to come, displaying their affection, bond and excitement for a new journey.

Right before their Sagai (engagement) ceremony, I photographed them at remarkable spots of the Zone Palace by the Park, whose white background symbolically complimented their new start. Dressed in a romantic dusty peach saree and elegant mint sherwani, Heena and Vishal just couldn’t stop giggling and their happiness was highly infectious. Even tough our session didn’t last for long,
as the priest was waiting them to start blessing ceremony, it felt amazing to steal a few moments
and allow them to have memories worth framing in their future home.

Moments end, but memories last forever.
