I was never a princess type of girl dreaming about my own wedding, but I always knew that I wanted a huge wedding. I imagined myself descending from a winding staircase, draped in white while the wedding guests stared in awe. The reception would be filled with a flurry of activity and great party. Friends and family would fly in from all over to help me and my new husband celebrate. Well, that was then. After photographing Laura and Barry's cozy Cyprus wedding, I may have changed my mind! Only the closest of friends and family members were invited to the pint-sized wedding at the Vasilias Nikoklis Inn in Paphos. As everyone huddled in the aisle, eagerly awaiting the arrival of the bride while thick greenery shielded them from the sun overhead, Laura was steeling herself for the big day. Her two little darlings cuddled with her as she prepared to marry the love of her life. The wedding ceremony was short and sweet, but I'll never forget the look on Barry's face as Laura seemed to float down the balcony stairs and into his arms. That smile burned brighter than the noonday sun. As if to accompany this lovely gathering, the sound of birds singing hovered in the air, creating the perfect backdrop to a beautiful moment. We even had an unexpected guest in the form of a striped tabby cat! He remained unimpressed by the festivities. One of my favorite things about this wedding was seeing the teamwork of Laura, her mum and all of their friends. The bride herself participated in designing and decorating for the wedding, which for them was a piece of cake (they own an amazing design shop called Homebox). While the rest of the wedding party settled in at the reception, I took Laura and Barry out for some shots on nearby dirt roads. The flat landscape and bright sun, coupled with their white attire and Barry's burning smile, made for some amazing shots. Laura has a brilliant smile of her own! Every shot turned out wonderfully, and every single one has its own mood to it. It's the best I could hope for as a wedding photographer, and it will be hard to top this wedding in the future! Shine bright, Martina.

These photos are just magical, the venue, the details and the whole simplicity of it all. I'm really lost for words.
