There are times in everybody's life predetermined for big changes. For me, this year was like that. I started searching widely the true essence of my being, simultaneously growing and learning how to be the best I can be. Here are things 2014. taught me: - Letting go is okay. - The sun always rises (and it is always beautiful). - Life is a map to a hidden treasure, just follow your heart! - There is music in everything. - Trees can grow through rocks. - Simplicity, patience and compassion are the greatest treasures. - Everything comes in the right moment. - Some of the best days of my life haven't happened yet. - My inner child is still ageless. This is my 2014. in review...
My travel to Bucharest in Romania and attending Roberto's Valenzuela workshop was one of the most important moments for me this year... Maybe it sounds cheesy, but it was a life changing trip... It was a trip where, besides learning a lot and meeting this fabulous person and artist from photo, I have changed myself in so many ways... I realized where my final destination is and I made some big changes in my life. Some of them were tough, some of them were easy, but I truly believe I have made good ones... My mind and my soul were enriched by meeting a lot of same-way-thinking photographers and making valuable friendships with some people who are of a big importance to me now. One of that important people is Teodora from Hungary. From the first few lines which were spoken between two of us in Bucharest, we knew that we are so similar... We craved for seeing each other again, so we decided to go to Hungarian Wedding Gala in Budapest. Those three days were fulfilled with fun, laughter and great energy. I also had a chance to meet a lot of fabulous wedding photographers like Claire, Helga, Zsolt (who is, by the way, great dancer :)), etc. and exchange experience with them, learning about other cultures and wedding traditions. Birthplace of Aphrodite, Cyprus, has seduced and inspired many travelers. I didn't know much about the island before, but at the moment I was given an opportunity to travel there, I knew that I will fall in love with the beauty and warm Mediterranean sun. While people were freezing back in Croatia, I wondered around the island in short sleeves. I spend few days shooting models and I shot a wedding editorial with my friends photographers Cristian Dascalu and Costas Kyriakides. I also shot a beautiful wedding in Pissouri Bay with Cristian, which was the most wonderful location ever. It was such an honor working next to this talented photographer, awesome businessman and a wonderful person. In the end, to all my brides and grooms who invited me into their lives and allowed me to document their first wedlock moments: Big thank you from the bottom of my heart! It was an honor! I am extremely excited for the year to come!
